I look forward to seeing how this pans out!
I'd love to see Perifractic and team take ownership of Commodore and do some good with the brand and community.

@ann3nova So torn! Voted Haggar anyway.
Final Fight: Haggar
Street Fighter Alpha: Guy
Essentially, not Cody. Heh.
@kaidenshi A few thoughts:
- ArcaOS (OS/2 successor)
- AROS (an Amiga successor)
- RedoxOS (b/c rustlang)
- ReactOS (recent new build!)
- HelenOS (very different)
- MenuetOS (different)
My i5-7500 e-waste* desktop has been in heavy OS rotation since I dragged it out of the closet to test Solaris (spoiler alert: wouldn't boot Solaris). So far I've successfully run OpenBSD, Haiku OS, NetBSD, and AlmaLinux Workstation on it. AlmaLinux is nice and all but not really suited to desktop use, it's definitely more of a server OS.
So fellow OS nerds, what should I try to boot on it next? I'd like to try something I can "live in" for the weekend. Anything non-Linux would be awesome, as I already know it runs pretty much any Linux distro with no issues.
*not Win11 supported so it was free
Someone on Reddit got a Switch 2 with QA/Test firmware on it.
Hi, #PitchYaGame! Enigma Heart is a Zelda II-style action adventure with light metroidvania elements and an adorably queer love story.
Coming this year for Linux/SteamOS + Windows. Wishlist now!

@Vivaldi Opera and Firefox were my defaults back in the day.
Then came the Opera disappointments with the death of Presto, Blink over WebKit, the Qihoo buyout, killing of My Opera… I followed what Tetzchner was doing and looked to Vivaldi to try to claw back some normalcy and found it.
Vivaldi and Firefox remain my goto browsers today.
@kalleboo ※\(^o^)/※ Massive congratulations!! This is so awesome. And one helluva journey.

@alicela1n Apple might not do it, but you could take a look at BetterDisplay (https://betterdisplay.pro/). It has HiDPI scaling options all the way up to native (though 2560x1600 on a 13" display is absolutely crazy).
I've got all of the available options enabled/visible (not the default), and you can set your own favorites. There's also a CLI element to it (https://github.com/waydabber/betterdisplaycli).

This is really nice in gaming mode on the Steam Deck :) :steam_deck:
@ann3nova I love that this exists. No more futzing with user-agent switchers and custom URLs get get it working in a browser!
@ann3nova You're making me wanna get one of these installed again and relive the fun, janky, years of Linux. Might have to get RH5 installed on my PII system. ^_^
Happy Pride Month.

@LibrarianRA I still have fond memories of nights like this. Spring '94… I would've been 13. Good times.
I still need to find Earth 2; I do have seaQuest DSV at least.
