My best guess is that the starfive chip is not yet compatible with RAM standards, as I cannot see the processor on anything with replacable ram

It's also not made by framework computer, but by deep computing. So its not "their changing their ways" but rather "they are open to others making peripherals", which is pretty cool imho

And as a person who had to transcribe studies for hours on end (I used to work as a student assistant at a psych institute), I am rather happy that genAI can do 90% of it. It's not a fulfilling job, and i would prefer mentally draining and unfulfilling jobs to die out.
