Kids are smart. Absolutely agree. But the number of kids who are willing to meet complete stranger on a street is still pretty high. I've seen videos where kids (without the knowledge of parents) went to meet a stranger. Some will even expose themselves online.

I wanted to save my barely passable Python scripting from total extinction and write something quick/useful. So what had happened was...

Instead of writing a quick script I decided to learn a bit of FastHTML to create a web app to generate systemd service files for Podman, so a total yak-shave (I used podman generate last week but wanted "cleaner" files).

FastHTML is a really neat approach to "templating" HTML and seems to scale nicely with your needs, which means it's easy to get started. The fact that Pico.css and sqlite are built-in is really nice for out-of-box experience (can be disabled and extended). I'll keep working on my toy app and maybe actually make it useful (I'm posting publicly for accountability, I hope).

Warning To All #Parents ! 🚨

Parents, as I've been working on my latest project. The CSAM reporting bot on #mastodon. I've noticed number of (visibly) underage girls who take nude pictures of themselves or video in front of a mirror and posting it on Mastodon. Some of them straight from their bedroom. You can actually see a mess and bed that hasn't been done yet. It is almost as if they get up in the morning and even before they brush the teeth, they take a nude selfie and upload it.

I beg you, parents, please educate your girls on the dangers of doing so ! 🚨
Your teenage girl may not do such thing, have a chat with them anyway. It won't hurt.

Girls who expose themselves like this are often contacted by online predators who will try to coerce them into trafficking.

I'll keep on working on this project as I want to help make the platform safer for young people. All sexually explicit content of minors has been reported and admins will take down and suspend accounts in due course.
