One of my posts on was removed for misinformation. Apparently, sharing Federal Reserve data and a link to 1,600 studies on COVID risks is now misinformation! (What really pisses me off is that I asked for a review of the decision, and it took seconds for them to confirm they won't restore my post.) So, now I'm boycotting LinkedIn for a while. If they want to go the way of Twitter/X, then they'll do so without my content driving engagement and ad views.

Specifically, drone flight logs show that Yale is in possession of an arsenal of at least three drones, one of which is a military-grade weapon manufactured by Skydio—a company that sold at least 100 drones to the Israeli army in the weeks following October 7th, 2023. YPD officers also discussed reviewing footage of protesters from New Haven Police Department drones. The goal of this monitoring appears to have been twofold: first, to assess the body count of each instance of protest to be able to deploy the right number of officers to handle it, and secondly, to assemble dossiers on suspected students with which to later punish them

“How are you going to make the case to people who have literally been body-slammed by heavily armed police for peacefully expressing their views on U.S. foreign policy. How are you gonna make the case to them that they have to vote against fascism?

The answer is that fascism still has to be fought and it has to be redressed, and people have to be held accountable. Because otherwise, it can get worse and it will get worse”

Because they know they can't win a fair election, they've spent the last 40 years gaming elections through voter suppression gerrymandering disinformation smashing newspapers and tv news organizations... you name it

Their 'introspection' consists solely of figuring out how to cheat more effectively

It’s just super revealing to me how agitated the Trumpists are getting about this. It’s a tell.

It's a conversation between two people who are making their own accommodations with an ugly reality. There are lines of reasoning but there aren't any commands in it.

From what I can see it's you trying to dictate to me, rather than the other way round.

OK so, you guys, and #Mastodon4Harris, I live in a battleground state that is so schizophrenic, who the fuck knows what's gonna happen next week, but I did my MoveOn.org chore and "contacted 3-5 friends" to make sure they have a voting plan and I convinced my relatively apolitical up-north brother-in-law to change his plans to fly back home on Monday so he can vote Tuesday. It's a dumb tiny thing but it feels like an actual fucking victory, so take whatever you wish from this story, but I hope one thing you will take is little things help.

The Art Institute of Chicago has developed a bash script, "aic-bash," that queries its API for public domain artworks and renders them as ASCII art.
The project showcases the capabilities of the museum's open access API, which provides data on artworks, artists, and more. The script allows users to retrieve and display ASCII art of artworks based on various queries.
