@JonnElledge @miss_s_b it's not even in Brighton!
Politics, old telly, comedy and most of all copious amounts of synecdoche.
@JonnElledge @miss_s_b it's not even in Brighton!
This Goodwin thing is utter bollocks. The Tories have been in for 13 years. They have a huge majority. They got their very hard Brexit. They got their people in across all sorts of institutions inc BBC. And yet we're secretly run by a "New Elite" of lefty Remainers. OK sure, Jan.
"Stop The Boats" is such an idiotic hostage to fortune. Surely in 18 months they won't have stopped them and this pledge will just look ridiculous.
THREAD
The latest filing by Dominion Voting Systems in its defamation suit against Fox nails something critics have long argued for.
Fox is not a news organization. It's something else.
But what is this other thing? In this thread, I will try to answer that.
Next slide, please. 1/

If you need proof that Burt Bacharach was a genius he rhymed "pneumonia" with "phone ya". RIP
I think I might have reached the episode of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) where Jeff isn't framed for something.
Is anyone else concerned that this is going to be utter shite that sullies the legacy of an amazing sitcom?

Just watched a full episode of The Day Today for the first time in probably 20 years. My goodness it is still so, so good.
@miss_s_b @nickbwalking yes that's what I meant. I should have been clearer.
@nickbwalking It was fucking ridiculous even within the context of that show though. Nobody stops being friends with someone because they wear glasses. That's never been a thing.
Perhaps the most idiotic storyline I have ever seen in a sitcom was when Gary wasn't sure he could remain friends with Tony because Tony had started wearing glasses in Men Behaving Badly. How did that ever, ever get through to being made?
