I belong to a support group for other parents of #trans kids. One of the parents just posted the obituary for their 16 year old on our group page.
This isn’t a game. It’s not idle or trendy. And it’s not up for debate. WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR CHILDREN’S LIVES. And we are fighting against an unending tidal wave of discrimination, misinformation, apathy, and bad faith punditry.

I called the #NewYorkTimes and cancelled my subscription this morning--I have a #nonbinary child. I told the very nice lady I spoke to why I was cancelling, and asked her to pass on to management that they were putting kids like mine in danger. She said she would pass that along, then offered me the editorial department's phone number so that I could also call them and let them know why I'd cancelled.
I did indeed call & leave a message. The number is 212-556-3652.
Superb walk up past Bastow Woods and looping back along the Dales Way. Particularly taken with this excellent triangular gash in the landscape.

I have the best husband in the world, we haven't had a single fight in 13 years we are together (will update this if things change, hope they won't). Both of my parents are gone, mother recently so I'm still having a hard time dealing with grief. We have a cat named Šećerna vuna (Cotton Candy - but literal translation is sugar wool so we call her Sugar for short). My favorite dinosaur is triceratops and my favorite Golden Girl is Rose ♥
