Ich war gestern mit Freunden am #Schneeberg bergsteigen. Wir sind wie immer gut ausgerüstet, bei bestem Wetter und guter Laune um 08:00 von der Haltestelle Hengsttal bis zum Klosterwappen und dann wieder retour. Ausreichend Pausen und Hydration haben wir natürlich eingehalten. Um 17:00 sind wir dann von der Haltstelle Baumgarten in Richtung Hengsthütte gestartet, auf halber Strecke kommen uns 3 Jugendlich entgegen: Jeans, Sneaker und ein Red Bull in der Hand. Wir sagen natürlich "servus", die 3 Burschen "hallo". Einer fragt dann wie weit es noch bis nach oben sei. Die Antwort "mehrere Stunden" hat sie ein wenig überrascht. Sie würden nämlich rauf gehen bis es "flach wird" (also bei ca. 1.800m). Darauf hab ich gemeint sie können bis zur Haltstelle Baumgarten gehen, dort ist die nächste Hütte, dauert noch ca 30 Minuten und dann mögen sie bitte wieder ins Tal gehen, weil sonst müsse sie die #Bergrettung holen. Auf der einen Seite finde ich es wirklich toll, dass die Jugend von heute gerne wandern geht, auf der anderen Seite: OIDA. Mit Turnschuhen und in Jeans um halb 6 am Abend, mit einem Red Bull und einem Sackerl vom Spar bewaffnet auf den Schneeberg gehen kann leicht tödlich enden.

So, my (43) Dad (74) hat the exact car in the early 80s (to be restored, stood in a garage, wood beams loaded through, no windows, paint almost gone, can't remember the condition of the interior.

In 1989 my Dad had to sell the car, a new central heating was more important to our family, and he sold it for ATS 50.000, which would be around €9.000 in today's money.

I still remember the exact amount, because he came home with 10 ATS 5.000 notes which had Mozart on them. And that was lot of cash back then.

For his recent birthday I've managed to conujre this Fujimi Kit (Porsche 356B/C 2000GS Carrera 2, Enthusiast Model EM-30, 08027), and had a blast building it. The decals didn't disintegrate which is rare for a kit almost 40 years old.

The kit has a lot of parts, and I've decided to try chrome painting parts myself (e.g. window seals). I used AK Super Chrome (results see here https://www.reddit.com/r/ModelCars/comments/1iwwr0b/chrome_window_seals_with_ak_super_chrome/ and it came out pretty nicely.
