I love how the main arguments that Java #Minecraft has a better redstone system is that pistons think they are the size of doors, they forget what they are supposed to be doing unless you update them, and they drop what they are holding if you surprise them with a quick signal.

(The point about different bedrock components updating on alternate ticks is fair.)

The craziest thing that keeps breaking my autocrafting in #Minecraft is where I'm mining and refilling a volume near bedrock, dropped blocks have nowhere to go, and they migrate upwards to find the first block of open air above them, which happens to be my sugarcane/paper farm almost 200 meters above.

The autocrafter dialog, showing three unlocked slots, two filled with sugarcane and one filled with deepslate. That isn't a valid recipe so nothing is crafted and the entire system grounds to a halt.

Lol, someone has figured out how to get endermen to do fieldwork in #Minecraft. I wonder what other farms/generators this will work for.

@anniethebruce So annoying how you can't see clearly though one block of water even if you put a bright light right on the other side

I can't wait to see how vibrant visuals changes how water looks in #minecraft. I'm really hoping it will allow us to build things like aquariums and actually see the fish inside.

Screenshot from the video comparing rowing a boat on the ocean with vibrant visuals off and then on. With it on, you can see much more of what is happening below the surface.

I would attribute this complete misunderstanding of #minecraft to #AI, but since it was posted 2 years ago, it seems like it is probably a good old fashioned case of humans missing the point.

Slimes don’t spawn, they are single cells—eukaryotic protists; but they can aggregate and the individual cells can change functions and become plant-like and release spores. The best way to eliminate them would be to dry the area and remove food sources such as decaying leaves. They do provide an environmental function of breaking down organic detritus.

I don't care what sound effect they use for leads breaking in #Minecraft, so long as they add something to indicate it has happened. I'm tired of walking backwards every time I have an animal on a lead because there is no other way to know whether they get stuck and left behind.

Imagine what it would be like if people visiting your house in real life behaved like when they visit your #Minecraft base; barging in, running off through every room, opening all your closets and drawers to see what stuff you've got, and occasionally hurting themselves by jumping out of windows.

Wow, a #Minecraft building tutorial that actually explains how each and every redstone component behaves and why they are being arranged as they are, rather than just being assembly instructions without context.

Here is a close-up for anyone who doesn't even know what they should be looking for on the screen.

Close-up of the back of a thin woman wearing clothes that blend in with the bush she is kneeling in.

I finally got the Chani #Dune skin in #Fortnite! While, yes, it is cool to be #Zendaya, the main reason I bought it is that it one of the best camouflaged skins in the game, with no pops of color to draw attention. She is hard to spot even if you know she is there and are looking for her.

Screenshot from fortnite with my avatar dressed in the Chani skin, crouched hiding in a bush. She is right there in the center of the image but you can barely see her because the earth grey stillsuit she is wearing blends in perfectly with the foliage.

Exposing this geode in #Minecraft took a lot more work than anticipated. Only after I cleared all the blocks out from around it, I learned that it is located in a slime chunk, so I had to encase the entire volume in solid glass to keep giant green cubes from constantly spawning.

A spherical geode with a grey and blue outer layer sits suspended in a slightly larger cube. It looks like there is a glass wall in front of it, but really all the space is filled with glass blocks. Across the front is a glass walkway that provides a path into the center of the geode where a two by three hole shows the white calcite and purple amethyst brightly illuminated inside.

@PalmAndNeedle @WesternInfidels @futurebird I realized the other day that I'm treating yardwork exactly like Minecraft by sorting everything into bins. Even our Christmas tree is now cube shaped.

A grey bin full of similar sized sticks.A rectangular shaped mass of dried pine leaves. I had compacted all the Christmas tree branches into a bin and they held that shape when I dumped them back out.

This powdered snow dropper is by far the easiest T-Flip-Flop design I've seen in #Minecraft, though the copper bulb has rendered it somewhat unneeded.

youtube.com/watch?v=9gQSiuZwfC

I didn't realize that a comparator considers a bucket of powdered snow two items!

A dropper with a button pointed upwards with a block of powdered snow on it. With only the bucket in the dropper, the comparator only outputs a signal level of 1 instead of 2 when the powdered snow is sucked back into the dropper and bucket on the next button press.

@MinecraftMemery Except that potions of healing actually harm zombies.

Kicking myself for not having thought earlier to build an automatically-descending composter when bone-mealing moss to dig a deep hole in #minecraft.

I've wasted so much time repeatedly walking back up to where I left my composter and occasionally disassembling the whole thing to bring it lower.

Also, if you throw a couple of lights on it, it really cheers up a deep dark hole.

A redstone machine standing in a large hole with deepslate floor and walls. It is a composter with a hopper above and below, depositing bonemeal into a chest after automatically composting moss. A flying machine has been grafted into the side with slime blocks, pistons, and observers that move the whole contraption down when the blocks below it are broken. Two glowstone blocks have been stuck to the top slimeblock to provide some mobile light to the area.

I had absolutely no idea that #RobinWilliams was into gaming, and #CallOfDuty at that.
