Your welcome. At some point, I will also write a blog post about my experience with Typst and share the .type file. I was hoping to do that soon, and this gives me a reason to revisit that.

Your welcome. At some point, I will also write a blog post about my experience with Typst and share the .type file. I was hoping to do that soon, and this gives me a reason to revisit that.
@sramsay Thank you! It involved a lot of time with my wife saying, "you truly obsess over minutia." I'm going to have to send her your reply lol.
@sramsay I just use it in VSCode. I know their online environment works pretty well. I formatted my CV in it the other day: https://nabeelsiddiqui.net/assets/cv/siddiqui_CV.pdf
@sramsay This is great. I recently switched to using quarto but having it exported to Typst. That works well for me, but sometimes I use typst directly.
Guy at the coffee shop today was trying to find whose drinks was Michaels and asked if it was me. I appreciated the inclusivity but also I am not Michael.
Then another guy comes and is like, "Sorry, I put the wrong name on your cup...." So it actually was my cup.
So now I’m just walking around like I’ve stolen Michael’s coffee cup
@lavaeolus I don't know exactly what ontology editing is, so this may be completely off, but why not just use draw.io?

I published an article in the International Journal of Digital Humanities last year but haven't had a chance to write much about it yet. This is about the role of the generalized linear model as a center around how statistical training should be done in the humanities:

@electricarchaeo Oh, this is pretty cool. I have been wanting to do some pixplot examinations but always have trouble with the dependencies. Will have to try this later.
Now that the weather is changing, this is my annual rant about how the heat in my office is too warm to keep on all the time and too cool not to keep on.
@defuneste Ah got it. Sorry I misunderstood.
I think the video focuses heavily on the visualization elements, because it is geared towards more business audiences. However, I almost purely use it for EDA and data wrangling. It takes the place, for me, of something like Tableau Prep but that may not be what you are looking for.
@defuneste There are numerous tools that allow for steps for reproducibility to be displayed that align with #Rstats, such as Exploratory: https://exploratory.io/
Oooo. Looking forward to reading this.

@sarahalang have you looked at Typst? I wonder if it’ll catch on as a LaTeX replacement.
The LaTeX Ninja is back in action: learn how to create your own fine-tuning or training dataset for computer vision using #Supervisely
New video series: A brief (less than 1 hour) introduction to linear mixed models (multilevel models). This lesson assumes familiarity with regression interactions and with the lm function in R, and it does not cover any specialized covariance structures. It is intended simply to introduce the core idea in an intuitive way.

Hello, good people!
I've come again with another appeal for your help. Please, if you know or are aware of any openings for global remote R developer roles, be it in data science, analytics, or visualization, kindly pass them my way; it would mean a whole lot to me at this point.
I have been out of job for 6 months now and the ride has been very rough. Therefore, I am pleading for your assistance to help me get my next job, please. 🙏
I see that the Max Planck Institute is hiring two positions in digital humanities, including a Head of #DH. www.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/news-events/...
