I didn't know the said person had a nationality, which is a modern notion. As for the time he lived, Palestine did not exist. Other than that, Jews are not a liron, but an ethno-religion. What a baseless, ridiculous comment with an antisemitic sentiment.

You've obviously never been held #hostage nor versed in the Geneva Conventions.

The Hamas #hostages were used as a political tool to extract demands. The result was chaos in the US Presidential election.
Iran siezed the US embassy and took the staff hostage 444 days in 1979. Iran extracted billions from the Persian King's accounts as the revolution traded the Hostages for Fate.

For me personally, I feel that attacking a music festival will result in your total destruction.

What bothers me even more, is that it's not just CBC or ARD. Somehow it's all the western news outlets at once. I honestly don't understand the mechanism behind this, even if I understand the motivation (antisemitism).

Once again the CBC shows its bias by de-contextualizing the story about Israel.

Hamas has violated the ceasefire in multiple ways, but Israel is presented as the aggressor.

Hamas has begun rounding up Gazans and shooting them, just to prove its still in charge.

Where is the outrage? Where are the campus protests demanding "Hamas out of Gaza"? Where are the memes, the videos, and articles?

Where is the demand that Gazans be free?

The answer is sadly that it's not about Gazans for many of these people. It never was for them. It was about demonizing Israel and terrorizing Jews. For them, the fight will continue, Gazans be damned.

But for me, I do care about the Gazans and the cause for Palestinian liberation and independence.

Gaza must be rebuilt, and the opportunity for a truly Free Palestine must mean that there's no room for oppression by cruel terrorist organizations who use people as pawns.

My personal test that I understand a programming language is being able to write a simple implementation for a binary search tree. In JavaScript it took about two days of learning. I finally managed it in Rust too. I think this must have taken a few months of trying different learning guides.
