#postmarketOS v25.06 is in the pipeline and you can help us out with two things:

* Which wallpaper shall we choose? Can you help us once again dear Fediverse? :blobcat:

* Test it on your favorite devices and report back if you run into any issues! See gitlab.postmarketos.org/postma and postmarketos-testing @ postmarketos.org/chat for details.

Thanks to Dikasp for making these awesome wallpapers! Poll is in the comments.

The #bazzite effect in full swing. Here's distroshelf. We have an opportunity to make it all about these wonderful app developers.

We can wire all of this up to a donation system.

Stop the stupid distro bullshit, let's help app developers succeed. Push back on the stop energy, let's make these developers feel _awesome_.

Every Linux Podcast Recipe:

- A couple of folks who's main point is that they use "Linux ™️" daily for a couple of years
- They stumble upon real shortcoming/issue with system
- They talk about it and try to explain it based on the knowledge they have accumulated over the years and severe case of Dunning-Kruger
- Confidently arrive at the most wrong take you could mathematically come up with about why something happens
- Keep talking authoritatively about systems you actually know nothing about

@fedora

- Silverblue & Kinoite are ready to be our desktop Editions, with bootc (Jason)
We think image-based operating systems are the future — let’s commit.
- CoreOS, IoT, and Atomic Desktops share one base image (Jason)
Right now, we’ve got too many base images — can we get it down to one?

exciting! @jasonbrooks

This summer we're asking the question: What if we just started using GNOME OS as our primary OS?

It's still early days for GNOME OS, but it's finally ready for wider testing by developers and early adopters, on real hardware. Join us for a 3-month challenge from today until September 1st, file and fix some issues, and win a a OnePlus 6 with Linux Mobile or a limited-edition shirt 🌈👕

@jorge I kind of wish we could ditch immutable and atomic in favor of “image mode” like RHEL says. Sounds better and is less confusing. I’m partly to blame that we have atomic in there - I pushed to put that on the Fedora website and regret it.

EDIT: what an excellently written post!!!

@snazzyq They’re amazing. Pila Energy just did an event with them and Quilt recently, and their technology is amazing. Their demo blew me away!

Couldn't catch the Fedora 42 release party live? Here is the recording on YouTube!

Whether you watch the whole thing straight or put it on in the background while doing chores, you will learn a lot about how the Fedora Project works and how we make our wonderful distro. :)

Thanks to the presenters and organizers for putting this together, especially so close to Flock!

@Techaltar Loved the "ad" segment on Ground News. I like how you brought examples on how the same story can be skewed - best sponsored ad ever :D. Shameless plug, but to counteract wildly negative new media coverage on both sides, I just launched a side project to ask you a daily question to train optimism. Daily optimism to counteract (new word I just learned!). apps.apple.com/us/app/14661751 if you're curious.

@razze @postmarketOS out of curiosity - did you use flatpaks from @flathub ? :) (asking because you or someone else recently added that nice mobile section to flathub.org). If you mainly use Flatpaks, may be worth adding something fast like this: reddit.com/r/gnome/comments/1k
