@sky Unfortunately no there isn't. You can always create a "burner account" so to speak, purchase Nova Prime via there, and then email us and ask for a direct license. That account never has to be entered into the device itself, and then you'll still be able to use the Nova Prime features.

Nova Settings -> Contact Support if you want a direct license that way, and include the GPA ID# of the purchase or attach a copy of the Google Play Store receipt from the purchase.

@karrbs Yes, it's still a one time purchase per email address.

Notification badges are a Nova Prime feature because we've had them long before any other launcher offered them, even before most stock launchers.

While some launchers offer that for free we don't as like most apps, we do need to monetize the app in certain ways to help ensure the app keeps being developed.

We feel it's a very affordable price at $4.99 USD, especially considering the price we all pay for devices today.

@Soblow Nova Prime is a one time purchase per email address. So it's basically a lifetime that you get the app for and we've been around nearly 13 years. The price is $4.99 USD which we feel is super cheap, especially considering the prices of phones today.

You also have 30 days from the date of purchase to email us and request a refund.

When you contact an app developer, make sure to include basic information such as the device you are using, Android version, exact app version and any information that will help the developer help you quicker and better.

It's also greatly beneficial to attach screenshots or videos of the issue you are experiencing so that the developers can see it as well.

Again, this allows us to see what you are seeing or experiencing and allows us to possibly know what the issue is or what could be causing it to happen and we can point you in the right direction without having to ask for this kind of stuff and then wait for you to respond all while you are experiencing a frustrating issue.

@rc Just FYI, the developers of Nova are still the same. It's still Kevin and that hasn't changed. He's the creator of Nova and has been the person coding Nova for nearly 13 years now. Not sure what else needs to be proven, though again, nothing has changed since the acquisition as Nova has had 14 releases since the acquisition and no personal/private information or data is being collected in any way at all.

I myself have been working at/for Nova for 8 1/2 years. That should speak volumes too!

@rc Please make sure you understand the facts and the truth before stating things like this that aren't true in any way at all. It sets a bad example and really gives the wrong impression. We've made it clear that nothing changes and we'll be happy to prove that, just as we have for 15 releases since the acquisition and would be happy to answer any questions or doubts that you have.

@rc That was 2 years ago and nothing has changed with regards to how Nova does things and it won't change going forward. We urge you to do your research and reach out to us directly if you have questions or doubts. We don't collect personal/private data and never will.

If we were going to do that stuff, we'd have been doing it over the past 12+ years we've been around. We have a reputation to uphold, and we're going to uphold it, just as we always have.

How cool is it that @CliffWade is:

* A CS specialist of @novalauncher (my favourite #Android launcher. I'm a pro and beta user for years! Highly recommended Android launcher!)
* And a fan of Richard Garriott's #Ultima series (check their profile banner - Ultima 4 opening sequence? I think a later version of U4.)

Someone playing Ultima is a good sign that the Nova Launcher's CS team is in good hands. Role-players can understand a customer, and can think far ahead, thus they can improve the processes.
