The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has lost access to his (Microsoft) email and bank accounts. Prosecutions are faltering now. This all due to US sanctions. 'Microsoft did not respond to a request for comments'. Yet European governments are collectively moving their email and files to Microsoft, risking similar problems if they ever upset the US administration. apnews.com/article/icc-trump-s

Yet another confirmation that moving off Google for my personal email was one of the best decisions I've made.

Just checked on my elderly father's Google Workspace to fix high volume scam mail. Turns out enhanced spam protection is only available for business users. Not, you know, senior citizens.

„Retention of data by service providers for criminal proceedings“

Hier kann man bis zum 18. Juni 2025 Feedback abgeben: Have Your Say

Was ist geplant?

Lobbyismus deluxe.

Was kann man tun?

Einfach Feedback abgeben, geht in 2 Minuten.

Today, I’m proud to share the launch of Silentium Fractum, the first issue of The Journal of Structural Power & Resistance — a self-published, open-access academic journal that documents how powerful institutions weaponize legal systems, and how those systems can be tactically resisted.

Silentium Fractum includes six original articles that analyze the structure of procedural violence and outline frameworks for asymmetric legal resistance.

About the Journal
The Journal of Structural Power & Resistance is an independent, interdisciplinary academic journal dedicated to the analysis of corporate power, legal systems, institutional violence, and tactical resistance. The journal’s mission is to dissect the structures that enable unaccountable authority — and to publish work that equips readers to confront and dismantle those systems.
The Operational Logic of Normative Violence: Whistleblowing and Corporate Retaliation
This article analyzes whistleblower suppression as a predictable form of structural violence. It frames whistleblowing as a moral confrontation with power.

The Dark Theater: Retaliation Litigation as Institutional Obstruction and Legalized Harassment.
A conceptual analysis of retaliation litigation, this article explores how procedural form can be used to conceal truth and induce narrative unreality. It critiques the derealizing effects of institutional gaslighting, emphasizing the psychological and epistemic harms embedded in litigation structures.
Offensive Counter-Control: Tactical Frameworks for Asymmetric Legal Resistance Against Corporate Power
This article outlines methods by which individual litigants and public interest actors can document, anticipate, and disrupt institutional retaliation. It introduces a tactical framework for leveraging internal inconsistencies, preserving contested facts, and reframing legal narratives in asymmetric contexts.
Panic in the Boardroom: Mask-Off Moments, Corporate Panic, Retaliation, and the Pattern of Escalatory Delegitimization
Using firsthand documentation and public records, this article analyzes how corporate legal teams respond to exposure with escalating procedural aggression. It situates such conduct within a broader pattern of delegitimization, reframing retaliation not as defensive posture but as institutional panic.

The Bureaucratic Shield: How U.S. Legal Institutions Enable Retaliation, Obscure Criminality, and Undermine Whistleblower Protection
This article critiques the design of legal and regulatory frameworks that allow institutional actors to evade accountability. It explores how doctrines of deference, procedural discretion, and symbolic compliance function as a bureaucratic shield against scrutiny, especially in whistleblower and anti-retaliation matters.

The German verb 'lassen' looks a lot like French 'laisser'. They even have the same meaning: "to let".

However, that's a coincidence. These words are entirely unrelated etymologically.

'Lassen' is related to English 'to let', while 'laisser' is related to 'lax'.

My sister sent me this and boy do I feel this in my bones. My 50+ bones.

I learned why we are always ignored

I was at a leadership conference and one
of the speakers was talking about
generational strife. And she talked to/
about the boomers, and then the
millennials, and then the zoomers. And
then she said, "Gen X, I didn't forget you,
even if the rest of the world has. But I have
no advice for you. For a few reasons. First,
you don't need it. You are the most
independent and self-sufficient generation
in the history of mankind and there is
literally nothing I can teach you. Second,
even if I did have something to tell you, you
wouldn't care. Third, the reason we ignore
you is because the rest of us are all
terrified of you. If the zombie apocalypse
ever happens, we are all hiding behind you.
Somehow, you'll know what to do."

An absolute GENIUS has put googly eyes on the huge white tube outside of the Pompidou center in Paris. And I am all for it.

This is your weird picture of Paris for today.

A picture of Paris with the huge curved tubes that are in front of the Pompidou modern art museum. Someone pasted huge googly eyes in the center of the tubes.

The eyes are blueish in color and look slightly down and to the side. They are pasted right in the middle of the tubes so they look really weird.

In the background, trees and buildings can be seen, as well as quite a few people walking down or up the gentle slope that leads from the buildings to the museum.

I am, once again, very grateful for the tooling within Mastodon to mute / filter words and phrases, and mute / block accounts.

I filter loads, especially sports and party politics, and having a feed comprising toots from people whose thoughts I want to read, with a high success rate of filtering out stuff I don't want here, is a self-caring way of doing social media.

Is it a filter bubble? Yes! Thank goodness.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this functionality.
