@DL6PL @dc1tc @F4LUB
I always break down at colour of underwear or shoe size!
Amateur radio dude from Belgium! π§πͺ
Franki ON5ZO, active also as OQ5M.
Only on HF, mostly CW. Addicted to the hobby.
I teach electronics for a living.
@stu
Still it feels that 10+12m are going down fast.
Maybe my timing is off but I haven't seen a good opening lately.
SFI also not up there...
I hope it's a temporary dip!
@HopelessDemigod
My rigs and one Amp can do 6m.
I don't have a dedicated antenna.
Zero interest in The Tragic Band.
I used my 12/17m wire dipole there a few years ago to work 3 USA stations in a row (CW). It presents a workable load for some reason.
My first and only non-EU on 50MHz.
I think that was enough for me.
Bottom line: no option in your poll that covers my feelings for 6m π»
#hamconbe ~ #hamConBE25 was a success.
First edition. Hats off to the organizers. And the speakers. A balanced mix of topics.
I have a dozen browser tabs open with things I need to dig into. I learned so much.
Met some nice folks too.
I just wish there had been XXL sized T-shirts on sale. π
Today I'm at #hamconbe
I'm attempting to give a presentation on #HamRadioContesting a/k/a #radiosports
Spreading the word of the #greatesthobbyintheworld
@G8GDS Yes, that baseline is all I know about it...
@G8GDS
Contrary to PokΓ©mon...
I don't know how or why but I just made 130 SSB QSO with EU on 40m as OQ0IARU. In one hour.
Why doesn't that happen when I do #cw?
#morsecode is therapeutical. SSB is plain work.
#hamradio is like fishing. I guess you need good bait.
That said:
#amateurradio is the #greatesthobbyintheworld
I guess that's that for today - again.
@IU1KGS
I was out of town for WPX SSB so I was not active.
The O*100x special calls are not allowed in contests.
I hope to be in WPX CW.
73 / ciao.
@PE4KH
I've not been on 80m yet. By next weekend probably.
I'll let you know. It's not easy to work PA-ON on the higher bands.
73!
In case anyone wonders what I've been up to (what are the odds?): I'm trolling HF in mostly CW and some SSB as OQ0IARU.
I made 3200 QSO and the callsign is shared with the other members of the #ubabe HF Committee.
Propagation above 14MHz has been poor...

K1LZ is a Big Gun contest station indeed.
He's one of the 'all band contest beacons': if he's weak on a band, I know it'll be tough going.
You can forget about the second layer of stations.
Let alone the 3rd.
And for me: an amplifier amplifies the fun. A more potent signal = more QSO = more fun.
Now back to the shack. Got a contest to play in π
CW, not doing SSB on 160...
Coming up: UBA DX CW #hamradiocontest
https://www.uba.be/en/hf/contest-rules/uba-dx-contest
Usually plenty of activity as CW contesting draws a crowd.
Everyone works everyone, especially me of course π
@PA3DSB
You should filter out non-EU π
Strange propagation. Could be worse yes, but still...
Did I miss the announcement on tariffs for #160m in #arrl #hamradiocontest ?
Or is the #hfpropagation to USA just lousy?
