A chess set. For blind people. Each piece describes the movement of said piece by its shape. It’s material defines whether it is a white or black piece.

It’s a game called caroms. It looks like billiards or pool if made out of circular discs for the balls and the table and pockets are square and made of wood.

Laser cut chess board and pieces. Nice and minimal. Made of pale wood.

@jefftml I'm assuming that the text/background contrast is high enough that the text detection works. It could be a bit of a Catch-22. Maybe some distortion of colour space might be required to ensure that the text isn't missed. Otherwise you run the risk of no warning for low contrast. No?
