@Dan I used {arrow} a while ago and it looked amazing. But one thing that put me off a bit is that I'm not much of a {tidyverse} user. And it seamed to me that {arrow} relied more on the tidy family. Don't know if that is still the case.

@Dan I learned some basic AWK and was amazed how fast it went through a bunch of CSVs. I'm sure it can process this huge file. But for large datasets in R, I've heard wonders about #parquet and #apache #arrow .

To the #lichess and other online #chess players out there. What do you do when your opponent leaves mid game? Do you claim victory? Draw?

Happened to me today. The wait time was up and the game was on equal grounds. So I was ready to call it a tie but after a while, the opponent made it back.

5 years ago today. George Floyd was murdered by a racist cop who knelt on his neck and choked him for over 9 minutes.
I was only a kid back in 2020 but I remember seeing this on TV and it shocked tf out of me and knew it was cops v us.
Remember George today but also all the other black men murdered by cops.
