MazeStalker Developer! (Four years down the road)

What is MazeStalker?
MazeStalker is a Zelda-like game that adds platforming to the formula. There are dungeons, puzzles, secrets, an expansive overworld and lots of upgrades.
Also there is a detailed high fantasy world in which many ancient abandoned ruins offer tragic stories from the past.

My girlfriend got a #luigi keychain, I told her to put it on her bag with her other cute stuff. She looked at me like I'm a madman and explained Luigi can't go with the cute stuff, Luigi is a MAN! It turns out that Toad IS allowed on her bag though...

So this weekend I had an idea, when playing #hollowknight : A little knockback upon hitting is perfect! Trying it out it feels amazing and is just that little detail I needed to make this fel good.

So I had an idea that works really well for me. When I started building the fighting system, I accidently made it so you can only hit one enemy. I ended up really liking this. In many games of this kind spamming the sword for crowd control trivializes combat. But something always felt off. You knock back one enemy, but you end up being very exposed. #gamedev #indiegame #mazestalker #isometric #solodev

When I released my demo I was shocked how many showstopper-type bugs it still contained... I really had to sit down and fix them, so I updated the demo.
One issue I had to admit defeat about was that the shadows are too weak and so new we have these strong ones. #gamedev #indiegame #mazestalker
