Musk has to know (and if he doesn't then Linda Yaccarino surely does) that advertisers have no interest in "blackmailing" him to do anything with the former Twitter. The platform is an afterthought for ad dollars in the first place and won't be missed when the money moves to more effective platforms. He's perfectly within his rights as an owner to make the former Twitter scorched earth for major advertisers. They'll just... stop advertising there. Zuck says thanks!

Random musing: Electron has a bad rap largely because it includes Chrome, but Chrome is designed with entirely different priorities than a UI framework; I wonder if it's possible to build an HTML/CSS/JS engine that is tuned to the UI case that doesn't let its memory usage get out of hand. Clearly, browsers did it twenty years ago...
