For an art installation a friend and I acquired a cheap ultrasonic parametric array from AliExpress. It turned out to be painfully (perhaps dangerously) loud. But it also turned out to have some pads with its microcontroller's debug interface.

So I did what you might expect:
- Soldered on tiny wires
- Convinced it to vomit its firmware
- Loaded the firmware into Ghidra
- Pored over it adding types and names and stuff and gradually figuring out what it did
- Spent the weekend rewriting it in Rust and fixing a bunch of bugs

So now we have output power limited to a safe (adjustable) level.
