@schluessel @c3cat Thanks 😺
Working at the department of precise perfection.
I do stuff with computers, web, networks and technology in general.
I like making and building things: computer graphics, 3D modelling/printing, electronics and PCB design and so on.
I write software in different languages, recently mostly Rust. And I am a big proponent of functional programming paradigms.
I really enjoy mathematics, with a strong interest in computer algebra algorithms.
And I like playing Go.
Some shade of queer 🏳️🌈
@schluessel @c3cat Thanks 😺

Schon ganz interessant was die da gebaut haben.
The MLT framework really does not use all available 32 cpu cores very efficiently. 😿
That despite me having enabled suitable parallelisation in Kdenlive.
Would be nice if Kdenlive could start multiple render scripts from its queue manager ...
Maybe I should just start up several instances? Or run the MLT scripts from the CLI?
This week I finally finished a project I've been working on for the last few weeks: A map, laser-engraved into a ca. 60x70 cm piece of plywood, showing the @spaceapi opening states of hackerspaces in central Europe using red/green LEDs. All of that in a nice wooden frame, now on the wall at @CCCBasel.
Details on the project can be found in our Wiki (in German): https://wiki.ccc-basel.ch/index.php/SpaceAPI-Karte
or in the git repository (in English): https://git.kabelsalat.ch/s3lph/spaceapi-led-map/
Grüße vom Swiss Python Summit 2024.
Dort sind @ral und Säschu und ich Winkekatzen-Crew (aka VOC).
Den Stream findet ihr auf https://streaming.media.ccc.de/swisspythonsummit2024/aula (Danke @c3voc )
Lists are just unary trees!
-- List
data UnaryTree a = Nil | Cons (a, UnaryTree a)
-- Binary Tree
data BinaryTree a = Leaf | Branch (BinaryTree a, a, BinaryTree a)
Played with the sheet metal workbench in #freecad for the first time. Made this pentagonal bowl (it is half of a dodecahedron) as a test.
The workbench has most of the basic technical features I'd expect. However, the UI is very clumsy and non-obvious, leading to a bad experience.
It's is clearly not yet on par with other, more polished workbenches of freecad, like part design or sketcher. (Which made a good deal of progress towards the 1.0 release!)
Playing "Manifold Garden"!
This is a stunning game by William Chyr.
Solving puzzles in an infinite three dimensional space with a toroidal topology. The world loops around in all directions. Additionally, one can choose and change which way gravity points ... this sets the stage for the puzzle mechanics ...
It is on the easier side with the puzzles. I'd sure enjoy a bit more difficulty there.
But the geometry and architecture of the buildings is gorgeous! 😻
@Neotheta Oh, and possibly the best part: there was a small drawing of Xenia on the back of the envelope! Drawn in glittery ink. She looks sooo cute! 😻
The stickers from @Neotheta I bought for some friends and myself have arrived! They are gorgeous! 😺
Big Thanks!
@Venty Hat an der #cosin2024 ganz nach Wunsch funktioniert 😺
Modded a pair of catears to have two small bells attached inside the ears. 😺
Works better than expected. I used two different bell sizes to get varying sounds.
Releasing the #KiCad files for my #HDMI signal tap and proxy PCBs to the public.
The git repositories are on my #codeberg (Do clone with submodules!)
#GPN22 ist, wenn eins mit mehr catears heim kommt, als bei der Abreise eingepackt waren. 😺
Diese diese wunderschönen catears, gedruckt aus zweifarbigem Filament, von einem Wesen geschenkt bekommen! 😻
Vielen lieben Dank nochmal.
