Fun fact: The #github code viewer/editor breaks completely if used with a non-100% zoom in #Firefox. Everything that is displayed above the code (line annotations, highlights, code context) is some % off. Practically unusable. But only if you load the page with a zoom, not if you load it at 100% and then zoom. So.. they know how to deal with page zoom, they just decided not to do it on page load.
The #Codeberg viewer/editor works flawlessly.
I have an uptime monitor of my Codeberg Pages sites with Hetrix Tools, and it reported a downtime of 17 hours. At time of writing, the sites are now available.
I've just been doing further research into Codeberg Pages, and discovered that it's in 'maintenance mode'.
https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/pages-server/issues/399
Reading the initial post, it's indicating that there is only a single maintainer, and it's been in maintenance mode for a considerable time, which is something to be aware of for those seeking a reliable and European-based service.
Kann ich eigentlich ein Repo von GitHub zu #codeberg forken und dann dem originalen GitGub-Repo einen PR stellen?
I created a #ros2 control stack for the #schunk egh80. It is available on #codeberg if anybody needs to control a gripper using ros2.

At the time of writing, Codeberg Pages has been unavailable for 11+ hours. I've never known that amount of downtime before.
Biiig news to come⦠once the Codeberg Pages _situation_ resolves. Big up the amazing admins there working hard to resolve the issue #Codeberg

I wrote once a blog about #GitLab, #GitHub, and #Forgejo (#codeberg). What to choose?
It is in Dutch, but I'm pretty sure your browser can translate it for you:
https://developer.overheid.nl/blog/2025/11/11/git-forge-overheid
It is a recommendation for a #GitForge for the Dutch #government.
Part of the conclusion:
In summary, from the point of view of digital sovereignty and digital autonomy is a self-hosted Forgejo the best choice for the government.
We need more scientists giving feedback here:

Which container images is everbody using for running Nix related jobs in Forgejo Actions?
I cobbled together some container images which include Node.js for running most unmodified upstream actions, but I'm wondering if I just missed some great pre-existing ones.

Any #Tennis player (or watcher) with a #WearOS #smartwatch out there?
If so, we may have cooked something for you: https://codeberg.org/LezSoft/TennisGD π
A minimalist tennis score tracker for your wrist, built with #Kotlin and #JetpackCompose is waiting for you on #GooglePlay and #Codeberg πΎ
Plainban, my CLI / plaintext kanban experiment, is now nicer to use with #git π
- use column metadata instead of inline YAML headers for ticket ordering, making diffs easier to read
- add pb edit command (handy for blogging, comments on user stories, etc)
- remove .keep file option as redundant
Since this is a breaking change and also a feature, decided it was worth a version bump to 0.2.0 π
Seems like https://codeberg.org/ is having a bad time. :blobfoxnotlikethis:
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that Codeberg is not "Federated" at this time.
Now THAT would be a really powerful feature.
And the last one new is that I've totally changed the dialogs π¬ in "Vasya go to Home π‘", and this game also uses atlases of textures for the rendering of objects πΌοΈ
