Black and White set with @boackaertmodel during my last masterclass in Brussels (@(@malinamore.studio). Make up, as usual by the amazing @alice.m.mua.

I rarely shoot black and white, but when I do, I do it intentionally. The lighting set is chosen to create an high contrast between the model and the background. Also the model clothing are chosen to contrast with the model skin and still keep the subject detached from the background.

What are your experience. Do you decide before taking the picture if the picture will be black and withe or you let your creativity drive you during post production ?

This is one of my preferred pictures.
The model, @angeronna, has been able to convey exactly the expression that I was looking for.
People ask me what is the meaning of this picture. I know what this picture mean to me and what I feel when I watch it. But you need to find the meaning in what you feel when you look into her eyes. So, what do you feel?
