@AngleseyStick Thanks! And yes, the Philharmonic is on the list - very much looking forward to visiting it.

Off to #Liverpool for the first time in my life! Got some historic pubs on my list to visit and a walking tour booked in, but anyone have any must see suggestions while I'm there? Thanks one and all! #Lerpwl #pub #pubs #dayout
@khinsen This would be fantastic!
@gakoid Oh, that worryingly could actually give them a chance then if the Labour vote is split given they've changed the mayoral voting system to first past the post. It's almost as if they'd thought this through...
Absolutely bizarre choice of Mayoral candidate by the #Tories in London - Trump supporter Susan Hall. It's almost as if they're trying to lose, or just hoping Sadiq Khan will lose by default having been in for two terms already? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/susan-hall-tory-london-mayor-candidate-b2377979.html #ukpolitics #london #LondonMayor
@beehaw Big thanks for your work on this and getting it back up. Cannot imagine the frustration this whole situation must have caused you!
@druid It really is just downright cruel. How bizarre to think that if it makes unaccompanied child migrants feel a little less scared it will encourage more to come, so had better make it look like a sterile jail instead.
There’s been a lot of speculation around what Threads will be and what it means for Mastodon. We’ve put together some of the most common questions and our responses based on what was launched today:

@AndyLong Worth a listen if you get a chance. It's a good album. Then again, one thing that can be said for Maiden is their consistency!
@AndyLong I've got Senjutsu going, though I do need to give A Matter of Life and Death and The Final Frontier a listen again soon as it's been too long.
@enigmajx I don't imagine it would be done, but a default (at)parliament.uk Mastodon server set up by the Houses of Parliament authorities that MPs (and Lords) can open an account on would be great. It could even be useful as a record/archive of past MPs social posts that often just get lost on birdsite when an MP loses their seat and deletes their account.
@aegir I know the feeling! Think I'll need to pop out and get some beer in if I'm going to continue (doom)scrolling to keep up with all that is happening right now.
@JenGeorge I'm enjoying it a lot so far, as someone who appreciated reddit before everything went disastrous. I'm on https://beehaw.org/u/sheinar
@andrewbain @GoldenBrown I second Neverwhere. It was my first @neilhimself book after reading The Sandman and I loved it.
It recently struck me that 27 years ago there was a movie with Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo playing drag queens,and if it came out today, someone would firebomb the theaters it was in. I'm not putting a sensitive warning on this picture because it's not fucking sensitive. its a movie that came out in 1995. things have moved backwards in a terrifying way.
Strange to see Jupiter and Venus so clearly last night. Took me a while to realise that's what they were! #caernarfon
Went for a cycle to Y Felinheli and thought I'd have a quick drink in the pub and a read of my book, forgetting about the #sixnations. 😂 Glad I caught the end of the #IREvFRA game though, even if it was accidental. Well done #Ireland!
@paulthenerd I'm with you on butter as a base before peanut butter, though my partner thinks I'm mad. I didn't realise it was even a discussion until recently!
Such a satisfying moment setting up your first home server and getting #jellyfin running so you can stream all your owned films, music, audiobooks and TV series. If anyone has suggestions for making the most of Jellyfin or my server, I welcome them as a complete newbie to all this!
