@BobTop enjoy! https://quarters.captaintouch.com/blog/posts/2025-05-06-2025-moving-out-of-the-vaporware-phase-stargrids-alpha-release-is-here.html

StarGrid's hi-res mode now also working! Running here in a 320x480 resolution (Tungsten T3, T5, TX). Colors look a bit over saturated in the video, but looks fine on device!

@inlovewithpda There's always room for one more ;)
I really have a #pda collecting addiction ... 2024 and the start in 2020 :)
Can't forget about all those grayscale devices either. A range of 16 grays is nice, but you have to ensure there's always a big enough contrast between them.

Added a 'Warp to home' option in StarGrid for #palmos
This replaces the 'cloak ship' option, not seeing the enemy ships making any moves was making it somewhat frustrating to play.
Getting close to an alpha build!
Just blogged about building the beautiful @rc2014 Mini II Picasso limited edition kit #z80 #z80kits #retrocomputing #soldering https://concretedog.blogspot.com/2025/04/building-beautiful-things-rc2014-mini.html
StarGrid: Shaving of the kilobytes! Instead of writing a new subroutine to pan the camera over from one ship to the next, I reused the already existing camera setup that's capable of following a ship around as it moves. When switching to the next ship, it just creates an invisible ship on top of the previous one and moves it to the next ship. #GameDev #indiegame #palm #palmos #pda
@inlovewithpda one of my favorite pdaβs. Just wished it had a universal connector so it would fit in a cradle.
@jake4480 yes it was!
@trezzer totally right, it's the ghosting effect that I meant
@vincenzo Soon! Hope to be only weeks away from a beta version (no menu system, no game config options, one map, just drops you right into the action)
Finally got a zire72 palm #pda. Always wanted one. Not in good shape, but I have it :)
@zxm @inlovewithpda I very much think the 72s (same but just silver) was released to avoid the issues with the blue skin peeling off the original 72.
Can take acceptable pictures though as long as itβs bright out: https://quarters.captaintouch.com/blog/posts/2024-06-12-Timeless-Tech-Capturing-Daily-Life-with-a-Revived-Palm-Zire-72s-PDA.html
still a 10/10
@inlovewithpda how could I forget! Still hoping to snatch on of those one day.
@inlovewithpda if only we had a PalmOS clamshell
@BluRaf probably my favorite Palm device together with the Tungsten C and the Zire 72s.
