@malterod here in Chicago we have a very short growing season, ive tried direct seeding but often the seeds either dont sprout at all or die from the nightly cold snaps shortly after sprouting, starting them this way helps me make sure they sprout and get some strength before going in the ground to face the harsh weather which is less predictable each year 👍🏽🌱🌽
