#Folklore claims this grave - in Hathersage, Derbyshire - is that of Robin Hood's loyal lieutenant, Little John. John - a giant - is said to have died of a broken heart following Robin's death. The grave was excavated in 1784 & a massive human thighbone discovered. The man who ordered the excavation - Captain James Shuttleworth - hung the bone above his bed, despite locals warning 'no good would come of it'. After suffering bad luck & a series of accidents, Shuttleworth returned the bone to the grave. #graveyard #weird #history #churches #psychogeography
