@whn basically, there’s a problem in that the powers that be don’t seem to care for our welfare. Indeed, the WEF would like to exterminate 90% of the global population. I reckon somewhere between that extreme and utopia is where we are headed. With luck, no further than that.

@whn Nothing about our society seems especially functional. And since the pandemic it seems to just be accepted that life is crap now on many levels. Food and medicine in low supply at maximum cost? Blame the pandemic or the weather. Roads hazardous to drive on for years on end? New developments take priority. We are the proverbial frogs and the pandemic seems to have launched us into warm water. How long till we all boil? Covid is just one piece of a pretty shitty puzzle.

Signs you’re babysitting someone else’s toddler:
1. Your use of the phrase “don’t touch that” has increased exponentially.
2. You’re scrounging around in the pantry for *more snacks* because the picky platter you thought would be ample definitely isn’t.
3. While scrounging in the pantry you discover a large quantity of Chinese cooking wine has been splashed about the place in the very recent past.

And here I thought having a toddler of my own would make me prepared!

When are bra designers going to understand that removable cups are the undisputed worst?! If I want a bra without cups, I’ll buy one. I do NOT want to be fishing out pieces of foam every time I wash a bra so I can try and rearrange it into the right spot, trying to minimise the fold that inevitably develops when it gets scrunched up in there, and the three corners that never want to sit completely flat.

My 7yo took the magic rings from his magician kit and, unbeknownst to me, went to a neighbour’s house to demonstrate his magic trick. The neighbour he showed it to was apparently very impressed - he gave my son $50! I have absolutely no words for this. Respect the hustle, I guess? 😳

The bar for babies is set pretty low when it comes to hair. Like, they work up to an inch before they reach 6 months and everyone’s “oooh, wow!!” Closer to two inches and that kid is going to have all the grannies reaching out to stroke it. Once you reach even mid childhood it’s gotta be down to your bum for anyone to care.

I’m 33 and have decided this is the age at which one officially grows up and gains perspective 😂 And with that newfound perspective, I’ve decided the hype over new years is overrated, but it is a good time to reflect and be mindful of where you’re at, where you’d like to be, and how you might get there - while cultivating just enough optimism to keep you afloat without losing your head.

@mojo and us hanging out near the poverty line are *really* feeling it. I spent an embarrassing amount of time agonising over whether to buy a block of cheese today, given that it appears to have doubled in price over the last couple of years from $7 to $14 and, along with things like butter and housing, seems to have become a luxury item. Thank God Aldi still supplies cheap booze with which to numb the sting, eh? /s
