Love it!
A local I know teaches Blender to high school students. He recently made an intro to using Blender in a short guide. I got to review it; it's a great resource for beginners.
Check it out; he also has some related videos on his new YouTube channel too.
@chaosthief yeah, I tend to run out of memory far quicker with Eevee than Cycles. My suspicion is that Eevee is more memory heavy upfront (due to rasterization + a full screen buffer), whereas Cycles is more stable with lower usage since it's just path tracing each pixel/tile. But again, I haven't gotten to know how it works under the hood.
Wanna give a shoutout to ââ Artisans of Vaul⏠- such an informative channel if you want to learn #hardsurface #3dmodeling. Recommend.

As a fairly new father, I resonate with words from "Death Stranding": "When I found out I was gonna be a father, I was so scared. Scared of what it would mean. .... I had it all wrong, all wrong. Being a father didnât make me scared. It made me brave."
While I always have a backlog of things to do, nothing is more fulfilling than being a husband and father. As a Latter-Day Saint, I believe families can continue to be together after death. And that makes me so happy.
#SundayThoughts happy (American) Father's Day. I'm grateful to have a father who taught me how to learn. When I was stuck with homework, he wouldn't give me the answer. He would have me go through my work to recognize and correct my own mistakes.
He was a studious learner, and loved learning the "why" behind things. But not only did he study his own religion, but he also loved learning others' cultures and religions, often making friends of strangers.
@chaosthief weirdly I've found Cycles often faster than Eevee nowadays. As much as I love doing NPR in Eevee, I bring myself back to Cycles often.
I've been doing @calver 's Blender challenge this month as a last hurrah before I get busy in July. It's been fun, going down a rabbit hole of geo nodes for the sand dunes đ

@visy nice! How was the viewport performance difference for you?
Here's some unsolicited advice on skill acquisition, Taylor.
Don't focus on getting the perfect output - as that is not where the joy lives for a hobby artist.
Focus on the input. The act of learning, creating and improving.
This is the important part, the perfect input.
Spending 12 hours on something you enjoy and is improving your skill and experience far outweighs feeding an image to a machine for zero gain or enjoyment.
So keep doing what you're doing.
Guess what song I'm bingeing rn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZfH7cFp3Ys
More tasteful VFX this time around, creative cinematography (is that drone footage I saw?), and solid editing/mixing on the music and video. Amazingly well done music video.

@waynedixon I've been looking into Linux flavors recently, how are you liking Pop OS?
Paradoxal shadow casting
@pafurijaz the fact that the properties tabs look so different in size and organization is the giveaway for me đ but you'd have to find the source to be sure.
@pafurijaz I'm guessing this is a mockup someone made? The logo in the corner looks like a meme page I've seen.
That would be a funny idea of using Liquid Glass.
