Stumbled over https://github.com/typst/typst this week (some link here in Mastodon - THANKS). I'm pretty impressed, syntax is easy, and the result is similar to LaTeX. Will try the presentation template for the next talk and do some documents with it.

That’s exactly the reason why I had a look at it. A DIY build would be more expensive and just running another system ob it looks very appealing.
