Ça fait deux mois aujourd'hui que je me suis installé un #Nextcloud sur un #raspberrypi5 pour moi. J'ai aussi configuré mon téléphone pour qu'il y autotéléverse les photos et vidéos que je prends.

D'accord, ce n'est pas à la portée de tout le monde. Mais sérieusement, une fois installé, le tout va vraiment bien.

Ça y est, j'aurai mon Nextcloud pour toujours.

#NextCloud question:

Just installed a personal Nextcloud instance and I'm really getting excited about all of the things I can use it for! It's my first foray into personal selfhosting outside of running my own website on Drupal, which I'm much more familiar with.

Buuuut this whole thing is on shared hosting, and I'm using encryption. I've got 1GB of RAM, which seems fine for basic file uploads and things, but it gets SUPER slow when using the Passwords app, which also has E2EE enabled. Encrypting and decrypting the password payload just maxes out the memory and things come to a crawl.

What is a reasonable amount of memory for an encrypted setup, or is this even a memory issue? Do any selfhosters out there have any opinions on this?

Die KolliCloud beinhaltet übrigens eine eigene, souveräne #Nextcloud und viele andere Open Source-Module. Deine Kritik ist inhaltlich also völlig unbegründet! 🙂

@wirsindverdi Wieviel von den Beiträgen, schmeisst Ihr denn den #Demokratie Zersetzer Tools wie #Microsoft , #Facebook und Co. Lizenzkostenmässig in den Rachen? Und wieviel der #dsgvo konformen #Nextcloud ?

Eine Sauerei wie die #Nextcloud meinen Ordnungssinn ausnutzt! Wg dieser blöden roten Meldung habe ich jetzt 2,5 Stunden lang ein High Performance Backend auf meinem Linux Rechner installiert. Für eine App die ich nicht mehr nutze, und schon gar nicht mit mehr als 3 Personen.

@Herzkind Ich rate zu @nextcloud in Kombination mit #CalDAV über entsprechende Kalender-Apps wie Etar.

• Sowohl @monocles als auch @Stuxhost bieten #Nextcloud als "fully managed" Lösung an.

• Gerade weil nicht alle Zeit, Lust, Skills und Geld haben um es selbst zu hosten!

Donc mon #nextcloud refuse les transferts de fichiers à plus de 12Mo/s mais la machine autorise le gigabit avec iperf, curl etc 🤔

From own experience, small tip for anybody upgrading #nextcloud and seeing the process stuck in the last step (updating database schema):

It is *really* slow, even for a small / vanilla instance, and does not provide adequate warning to that effect.

Let it run for hours (overnight) before assuming the installation is broken 🤦 and embarking on time-consuming reinstalls...
