We doin' it! Extension cord rated for heavy duty construction equipment (might be overkill but I am cautious) running from my unit's outdoor outlet.

According to the linked article "Amp Chart and Household Devices", even the standard waffle maker (8.3) is technically pulling at a higher amperage than my car (8). I think we're good here.

Mid-Ohio Valley Climate Corner: How my life changed driving a used

"The was gone after our second road trip because we knew how to find charging and the time it adds. We have a slower charge rate compared to newer and high end cars for home and DC fast charging, but it is kind of nice to be forced to stop and stretch and see the local areas. We’re not stuck for hours, sometimes just 5 minutes up to 45, or we charge at the hotel when we stay overnight."

How #Norway's subsidies for EVs fuelled car sales and traffic, but widened social inequality and reduced funding for public transport projects.

"Electric cars are crucial, but not enough to solve climate change. We can’t let them crowd out car-free transit options."

Why Norway — the poster child for electric cars — is having second thoughts

@bplein Good to know, thank you!

@bplein A standard household outlet 120v, yeah.

It's weird the number of "don't use extension cords!" warnings all over the place and yet I see people run an entire household in an RV with a single extension cord. Heck, powerful outdoor events drawing gobs of power do too. But still those niggling thoughts jump right in.

I'll get a heavy duty and stop worrying. Thanks for the input!
