The more you understand conservative voters in basically every country the less evidence you find of the narratives around economic anxiety or whatever. Yes, the misery of neoliberal austerity and breakdown of material conditions fosters more conservatism, but fundamentally this describes the soil in which conservatism is most fertile. What animates right-wingers is bigotry and fear, it's racial anxiety and hatres of women and gleeful spite. People with right-wing sentiment aren't sympathetic lost souls, they're stupid, incurious, and evil, and they love that about themselves and their fellows. The more you actually understand them on their own terms and in fact, the less believable the liberal narratives about them are.

How the algorithm works for me is I’ll think “should I try to use a platform for attention or monetization for my projects?” and my timeline will suddenly fill with posts about how that thing is bad and wrong, so I decide to give up and slink back into obscurity, and then my timeline fills with people sharing links and boosts for those shitty platforms.

Kennedy Center ("Center") for performing arts is committed to providing an environment that reflects the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and mutual respect. The Center values integrity, transparency, and accountability in every aspect of its operations. We ask that all employees read, understand, and acknowledge this policy.

II. Policy The wearing of masks or facial coverings is strictly prohibited while on the Center's premises, unless otherwise approved by a reasonable accommodation. Disciplinary Action: • First Violation: The employee will be reminded of the No Mask Policy and that employees must seek a valid medical certification in order to wear a mask. Employee will receive a formal written warning. The employee will be sent home for the remainder of the day.

Earlier this week, a TikTok user shared a video of food supplies, like containers, bags and pizza boxes, inside a washroom in a Pizza Hut located at the intersection of Rossland Rd. and Carter Bennett Dr.
In the video, the resident says she went to use the washroom before ordering a pizza at the restaurant, when she spotted a shelf filled with food supplies right next to a toilet, which didn't have a lid.
"This actually makes no sense to me. Every time a toilet is flushed, particles from that toilet [fly] up in the air. How is this even acceptable," she said.

And professional sports resuming in mid-2020 fuelled a lot of the restlessness in conformists. “If rich athletes can do it, why can’t we?”

We haven’t celebrated the end of Covid because it hasn’t ended. It didn’t magically go away or become less serious. What we got what restless conformists desperate to return to busying distractions belligerently screeching that we needed to just coexist with Covid forever and accept that its destruction is the price to pay for normalsies.
