Ooh, interesting! Might try this as a cheap improvement on our rented driveway.
Had to run out a few hours ago and do some emergency car jacking in the dark. After I realized the jack stands I put under after taking the wheels of earlier were sinking into the mud...

Been home sick all week so eventually found some use for the leftover cardboard.
@yngmar Would use these as a thermal battery. Maybe put underneath germinating seed/-lings. Embed in a windowsill to make it fancy.
@yngmar deer?
@OccuWorld @fhekland @selzero @DifferentDrummer @Black_Flag @Left_Indy @Whoistasha @Kenya Oooh, marvellous π

@martincrownover Cool DoF! Thought it was a photo of some crafts project at first.
Wait, is it supposed to be minute in the game? I never played it.
@mcc Does it also have anime-style renditions of various archetypal figures familiar from the Tarot, though?
(What game is this?)
@foone Core 1 kinda rare tho...
@vga256 holy shit!
You ever seen something so painfully out of touch and oblivious it hurts?
@0xabad1dea Using old.reddit.com seems to get around this (too).
@apzpins I had similar thoughts for a long time, but ended up finally throwing out a big bag of old PLA prints this summer. :D
There's some DIY filament extruders available, but they cost as much as a nice printer. The more effective solution is probably to mount a granulate extruder on the printer.
"Yeah, just a relaxing weekend on the land. No big projects this time, just chilling and sauna and food."
And a little bit of raising up the porch because some door won't close nicely. And pulling out some of the old crappy rock foundation. And turns out the rocks are actually quite big, so we need to use the tractor. And now that we're this far it's just a little bit of further digging to get in some leca blocks instead.
Sauna was nice afterwards tho!
Just had to tell someone, 'cuz I'm doing this in total isolation. Laboriously salvaging and pulling nails from ancient wood from demolition that would have otherwise just gone to the dump. Redwood from 1890-1940s California, when they unconscionably cut down trees over a millennium old ;_; light as a feather, stronger than steel. Milled ages ago and structurally unfazed. Only a culture beyond salvation would treat this priceless material like trash.
Experiments patching up damaged saplings using beeswax and (since grafting tape is expensive) twine.
Worst damaged was to an indeterminate variety of Prunus that has been used for grafting practice. Not sure what, maybe wind combined with a fungal infection?
Also bent some raspberries when planting them out, and tied them up for good measure!
Considered using wood tar at first, but beeswax seemed a lot easier. We'll see how it goes.
