@jvanvinkenroye yes, they modified the website to break this about 2 months ago and nobody found a fix so far.

@x_tof @fdroidorg indeed, we didn't ship an update yet. However, the libvpx _encoder_ is not exposed in VLC-Android (meaning that there is no way for you or a malicious party to use it). We will discuss that during our stand-up tomorrow. Thanks for the note!

While the release of VLC 4 is still far, there is progress on VLCKit. It is unified for all Apple platforms now with an improved and simplified API. We add compatibility with visionOS and still support iOS 9. While it is too early to use in production, feedback would be welcome! On Friday, we released a major update to VLC for iOS/iPadOS/tvOS with quite a few additions, notably playback history, A to B playback, Siri integration, external subtitles / audio tracks, favorite folders on local network servers and improved CarPlay integration.
