@helenheath thank you. I'm still on the mend, but I'm much much better than I was. TR is confusing and I am struggling to understand, but I definitely am surprised that they drove a couple of people to quit!!!

Tonight at #EfM, it was my first time doing devotions for the group. I read a selection from Sarah Bessey from the book, #RhythmOfPrayer, and I have already tagged 3 or 4 other entries in the book for future devotions. I was struck by a line in the #Psalm in #Mass today: "He shall defend the needy among the people; he shall rescue the poor and crush the oppressor." (Psalm 72:4). This expression of what God's righteousness looks like occurs again and again in the #Bible, not least in the #Magnificat. (Luke 1:46–55).
Yet how often do we see those who claim to be #Christian siding with oppressors, crushing those who need defending and keeping the #poor downtrodden?
We need to do better!

Can someone please help me understand #EfM 's Theological Reflections? I've only been present to see them done in group twice... But so far I am really lost about the whole process and it's purpose. I need to go back and read my RRG.
Is it always done as one person kinda leading the rest of the members through a discussion? Like crowdsourcing responses for each stage of the TR?
I am so lost.

@helenheath I'm so incredibly confused by Theological Reflections. I missed last week's meeting because I was really sick. So tonight is the first time I have heard a TR done, other than the one our mentor did as an example a couple of weeks ago. I still just feel really confused.

@helenheath yeah it is. And the fact that there aren't any rules against homophobia or transphobia is concerning. I don't really like the rule about politics either.
