@mattro Not sure if related but on iOS 18.5, when I directly select a POI, the coordinates section is hidden. When I manually long-press to select a POI, the coordinates section will be shown (screenshot on the right)…

@katullo11 thanks for the feedback! I think I might have mixed up French and Italian translations… I hope to fix it with the next update. sorry for that!!

@jeffreykuiken hey there 👋
I remembered you recently launched the companion app for Mario Kart World but I can’t find it on the German App Store. Did you remove it from sales? 😬

@Viditb sadly it seems to be true because rankings went down for me a few days ago…

@alpennec it covers the basics for now. I assume the idea is still to use tools like Sketch or Figma to craft the static icon and Icon Composer to make it dynamic. The WWDC session was quite helpful for this.
However, I do agree that it would be convenient if gradients and fills from the SVG would be recognized during the import. More automated, less manual.
Let’s send some suggestions as I’m sure this is exactly the type of feedback they’re looking for.

@alpennec it takes some time because each mode requires its individual treatment but I think it’ll be worth the effort.

After playing around with all the effects for a while, the Icon Composer is really fun! 🥃
I was planning on embossing letters anyway, so timing is perfect!

@alexkaessner also, I remembered the Voice Memos app icon once used alt versions for smaller sizes. However, as it seems, it's one single file for all sizes on iOS 26.

@alexkaessner okay, so I just fired up the Simulator with a 16 Pro device and the icon size remains 64×64…

@alexkaessner that would make sense. The screenshot was taken on the 15 Pro whereas the library represents the 16 Pro…

@aoe no, not just the Apple icons. See the icon from my app in the dock for instance. Also, here’s a better example with icons from third parties.
My best guess is that once you provided dark and tinted icons from iOS 18, the system does some magic to automatically interpret those icons.

@aoe that's true but with the release of iOS 18 last year it was the same as we hat to provide dark and tinted icons besides the default one.

Regarding the transparent icons, iOS already does some magic and automatically applies the effect. See here:
