The Chaos Engine podcast (https://pnc.st/s/the-chaos-engine-podcast) has started a 13th Age 2e playthrough of a classic 5 room dungeon.

Having been looking into 13th Age and Draw Steel a lot lately, it's so refreshingly seeing the brisk pace of turns in 13th Age. They progressed through 3 or 4 turns of combat in a matter of minutes. Quick back and forths, some moving around, all while verbally describing the scene (good for podcasts, don't need to see a map)

@moonmoth @MightyMightyDice @dnddeutsch Der Vgl. mit dem (Vgl. mit #DC20) weniger erfolgreichen Launch von #13thAge2E bringt mich auch zum Grübeln. 13th Age ist m.E. eine gereifte trad dnd Variante, satt an tollen Ideen für heroische und um narrative Aspekte erweiterte Mechaniken. Meine Vermutung (empirische Grundlage = 0): es ist ästhetisch Kriterien und der Art der Bewerbung geschuldet. DC20 gonna be like „INT based Barbarian? We got you covered…bring it Oooooon!“

Ich freu mich wirklich sehr, dass #13thAge2e ganz erfolgreich per Kickstarter finanziert wurde! Die neuen Bücher kommen zwar erst nächstes Jahr, aber ich hätte schon Lust mal moderne Klassiker wie wie „Eyes of the Stone Thief“ (gern auch mal Sachen unter freiem Himmel…) nachzuholen. Die Regeln sind flott, es geht nicht um Loot und Optimierung, es kracht ordentlich und es ist absolut überhaupt nicht "old school“. Das kann man auch mal spielen. #pnpde

Ich lese gerade #TalesoftheValiant und den Playable Draft von #13thAge2e und die Unterschiede könnten nicht größer sein. ToV ist so nah dran an 5e, dass ich hier nicht ganz verstehe, wer hier die Zielgruppe ist. 13th Age ist dagegen ziemlich wild und schreit irgendwie, dass es unglaublich Action-geladen ist. #pnpde

So, hab's jetzt getan, habe tatsächlich Geld auf den #13thAge2e Kickstarter geworfen. Mal sehen, wen ich in meinem Umfeld überzeugen kann, das mit mir auszutesten. #pnpde
