@KinkyGeeks That feels :blobcatsad: I still remember seeing the flyers for the first Party at the walls at #32c3 (?) and was exited and curious to go there. Like many others I had no idea what to expect in a BDSM club, but I was not disappointed and had some of the best times of my life with other geeks at the Catonium, including a live-changing event last year. I am looking forward to the workshops and a possible relaunch at #40c3, but I presume I will miss something at the #39c3

Still baffled about all the #32C3 talks leading the popular talks. Only the VW talk of #38C3 made it into this list - which is amazing considering there was probably something that went wrong with the counters for 32C3.

@ljrk the talk of Steini about Quantum Physics and cosmology (german, English translation available) at the #32c3 was one of the best talks I ever attended to. He just sat on a desk and spoke, he has not used a single slide, and after it you had a basic idea of the topic. It was astonishing.

(Unabhängig kann ich den absolut Empfehlen)

Ohne den jetzt nochmal genaustens anzuschauen und zu analysieren. Und obwohl er jetzt schon 8 Jahre her ist: das klang damals eher nach einem sehr, sehr robusten Stromnetz, wo es ein bisschen mehr braucht "als ein paar Solarmodule".

Lag Mathias damals falsch? Oder hat sich am Stromnetz etwas so grundlegendes geändert, dass seine Aussagen und Annahmen von damals nicht mehr mit der heutigen Realität übereinstimmen? (Ich sehe schon auch, dass sowohl Elektroautos, Wärmepumpen als auch Balkonkraftwerke heute die Lage etwas geändert haben könnte - aber zum (viel) schlechteren?)

My first impression of the #38C3 (Chaos Communication Congress) design that was released today is honestly:
Meh.

Don't get me wrong, it's well-designed, the colors pop, it gives unspecific dark "hacker" vibes. Well done.
It just doesn't spark joy for me. Can't really place my finger on it... it kind of feels... corporate? Like it's trying not to say too much and not to risk anything.

I still have hopes for the video design. I miss #32C3 (Gated Communities) with the surprising animation.
