Might go with this, though it's "only" 5 days usually ;-) And yes, sometimes I work out in whatever I'm wearing - it's greasing the groove, not to exhaustion. Just a movement snack! Back to my desk more alert and with more energy.. (in theory)

Lincoln Highway, which runs through my small #Iowa town. Taken for the #52frames "street details" challenge. #photography

Sepia toned photo of a sign commemorating the old lincoln highway. The concrete sign post has a metal plaque featuring a bust of Abe Lincoln. In the background the highway goes off into the distance.

"Thiells Mount Ivy Road after the rain"
#52Frames #52Frames_StreetDetails #FediArt

My mom lives at the top of the hill on a busy street. It’s easy to see the traffic coming both ways. For this photo, I crossed the street and took the photo as I was walking and I was super careful.

I was visiting my mom after she got home from the hospital with a Parkinson’s Diagnosis. Luckily the therapies and medications are working and she has a positive attitude.

I took photos on my walks as a form of self-care, so I’m grateful to 52Frames for giving me something to focus on (no pun intended). I spent time going for walks along this road when it wasn’t raining and in the evenings after the humidity broke. I am not used to upstate NY in summer anymore!
Photo of a road after rain. There are two solid yellow lines in the center curving to the left. The pavement is black and has shiny parts from the rain.

Got a couple of candidates I like. If you have a favorite drop a comment below?

Not sure which of these I should use for this weeks #52Frames challenge: #52Frames_StreetDetails. #Photography
A hole in a wrap on a utility box, exposing the metal underneath.Close up shot of a utility box showing a peeling wrap, a torn sticker, and some graffiti.Looking up at some fancy stonework on the corner of a brick building.Looking down at a rental scooter on its side. The stickers on the bottom read “Please help me up” but are ripped so they’re hard to read. An upright scooter is in the background.

Didn't get any shots I truly liked for last week's challenge. I like how the zoom lens compresses the perspective and makes it look almost as if these houses are clinging to a wall, but I wish the lighting were better. Oh well, some weeks are like that.

#StreetPhotography with a 100mm (equivalent) macro lens is quite fun. Found this guy watching the street from a balcony. #52Frames #52Frames_UseTheWrongLens #Photography
Looking up at a brick building with lots of balconies. One has a large, plush dog hanging on the railing watching the street below.

This is Candy’s “band” photo.
A black and white photo of a kitten on a bed. One paw appears much bigger than the rest of her due to wide angle lens. There are bokeh/ out of focus highlights in the background.

#52frames #throughthelookingglass - might use for this week's challenge. I like the reflection in the display case. From a visit to a local artist's studio. I forgot to change some camera settings from last week, so it's still on 3200 ISO, a bit noisier than I might have hoped but not too bad. #photography #nikon #d200

"Tara through the looking glass"

I shot through a glass cup for cupping therapy to get the distortion in this photo. Basically I used the cup as a filter.

A distorted photo of a wooden Tara goddess bust. It appears that her head is bending forward slightly and her facial features are askew. There is an aqua blue wall in the background and some highlights in the upper right corner from a window. End description.

Shit, missed my photo streak on #52frames this week. Starting again 😅

I used my Petzval lens for this and shot at 12800. I like how grainy it is.

Castro by night, #52frames #highiso. Even contemporary reviews of the 2005 #Nikon #D200 mentioned noisy high ISO, even though it only went to 3200 (high at the time, I guess?) Anyway, I've generally just avoided high ISO, but for this week's challenge had to embrace it. And I kind of like the results - "filmic" gets bandied about too much, but the colors and soft feel do remind me of 70s/80s photojournalism? #castro #sanfrancisco #photography #darktable
