Part 2 today focuses on what I call the 'flatties' from last night. They are flighty little things that do not like to pose (unlike the chunky 'fatties'). Four super visitors.

1) Maiden's Blush (top left)

2) Bloxworth Snout (top right)

3) Seraphim (bl)

4) Least Black Arches (br)

A ban on sand eel fishing so grand
Stays put in the UK's own land
EU tried to fight
But it's still not in sight
For now, the sand eels can peacefully stand

There once was a ban on sand eel fishing,
In the UK, it caused quite the itching,
EU tried to challenge,
But the ban still remained in angle,
For the sand eels, it was a saving.

Snack time with sweet Rico! The Brazilian porcupine is an expert climber. Large curved claws, bare soles and a prehensile tail help the large rodent grip branches as it moves through the trees. The muscular tail is nearly as long as the body and essentially acts as a fifth limb. t.co/S2fshntMW6

Pax, our little tabby kitty with white markings, is staring intensely out the window as she lies on a fuzzy white window shelf. One white front paw is tucked up by her fluffy white chest. The other white paw is stretched out in front of her.

We have a painting of a brooding moorland landscape with dark green hills and a bruised dark grey sky. On the right, a rabble of anthropomorphic animals are wandering. From left to right, a brown hare wearing tartan and carrying a spear, a badger holding a staff and wearing beige monk's clothes, a squirrel wearing Lincoln green clothes and a hood holding a bow and finally a short brown rat in plate armour and a tabard with a helmet, sword and shield.

💁🏻‍♀️ ICYMI: 🦉🛫 Snowy owls, North #America's largest owls by body mass, migrate thousands of kilometers from the Arctic to places like #Boston's Logan Airport each #winter, where the open runways resemble their tundra habitat.

Norman Smith has saved over 900 of these #birds since 1981, developing #conservation methods now used at other airports while collecting scientific #data about these Arctic visitors and establishing protocols for safely relocating them.

An older man with white hair and mustache wearing a blue hoodie smiles next to a white snowy owl with yellow eyes. The owl is perched on what appears to be the man's hand or arm, and both are shown against a black background.

Rushhour auf Kreta 🐏🇬🇷

#photography #animals #crete
