Processing nebulas is a lot harder than galaxies. Not compleatly happy with this, but a good first draft.
California Nebula (NGC1499). Processing on APP to stack and register, PI for final color and adjustments, denoise with Topaz.

I used AstroPixelProcessor to align and integrate Andromeda, finished in PixInsight, I think it looks better.

Yup, it’s the Pleiades again. I needed to test some toys…
Pentax Takumar 300mm f/4 lens - the 18-blade aperture iris is crazy, as were the star halos before I fixed them.
Skywatcher Star-Adventurer mount (haven’t used in ages).
Fuji X-H2 - pixel-shift at 60s subs is amazing.
An hour’s data plus calibrations, processed in #AstroPixelProcessor, #PixInsight and #darktable (#artwithfoss 😀).

#astrophotography The iTelescope.net premium dataset this month was for #Cederblad 211 (AKA R-Aquarii), a Mira-type red giant orbiting a white dwarf. A possible outburst 190 years ago caused this beautiful proto-[planetary #nebula] (not a protoplanetary nebula, haha) to begin forming. Image processed with #AstroPixelProcessor, #Gimp, and #Paint.net. Details in ALT text. You can see the VLT image at eso.org/public/images/potw1850

Picture showing a nebula formed by two stars. The only star visible is the bright red giant. The nebula has the shape of a lawn sprinkler shooting out water, or perhaps a ballerina spinning with her arms and legs slightly bent vertically.
This picture was made from RGB only data.

This picture was taken with a .6m/24" diameter telescope, and includes H-alpha and OIII narrowband data. The H-alpha data adds delicate wisps that extend out from the center. The OIII data adds blue jets that are appearing to go up and left, and down and right, slightly bent back to the center axis further away.
