Forgive me if I am sceptical about Starmer's claim to be interested in prevention of disease when most people have to pay privately if they want a #Covid19 #AutumnBooster and there is no talk about air filtration for schools etc or encouraging masking in healthcare settings.

Hurrah!
I have managed to make an appointment for my autumn covid booster.
Have to wait another month for it as they don't have the vaccines in stock yet, but I'm hoping that means they'll have nice up-to-date ones with reasonable efficacy against current strains.
I'm not old enough to get a free one, so I'm grateful that my employer will pay for my jab. But it bothers me greatly that the cost will put many people off getting protected.
We're just a few days away from September and there is still no publicly available information about this year's autumn booster campaign in the UK.
Will there even be one?

I've been taking a look at the government's cost-effectiveness analysis on the #Covid19 #AutumnBooster programme for England.
As expected, it's utter BS.
I may blog about it at some stage. For now, I've made a formal complaint to the DHSC about all the redactions. They claim "commercial confidentiality", but that's not remotely plausible for the vast majority of the redactions. Why is a QALY benefit commercially confidential?
Let's see what happens.
