The place I took karate with my dad was actually a dance studio and we were told we’d get a discount on our karate lessons if I enrolled in dance classes so I took ballet and basic tap/jazz/contemporary dance lessons for 3yrs as well

I remember reading somewhere that most girls quit sports by high school but since the 80s there’s been a lot of work done to stop that. What also helps is that we’ve gotten better technology than the 70s era “JogBra”

I never played little league in any sport but I did later join the tennis (doubles) and cross country teams (2 miles) in 8th grade and Freshman year of high school.
