I agree totally, #Bercow deserves his seat in the House of Lords. The #Tories denying him his rightful entitlement was pathetic.

I genuinely hope one of Starmer's early executive acts will be to recommend that the huge national asset that is former Speaker of the House of Commons Bercow is offered a seat in the Upper Chamber, should he choose to accept it.

It would be a fitting rebuff to the churlishness of failed Prime Minister #Johnson & every last one of the jostling #Tory yobs who came to hate John #Bercow for his flair, knowledge of Parliamentary procedure, & his resolute even-handedness.

Just imagine if #Bercow was in the chair last night - would the #Tories be standing up and saying the speaker has apologised, so let's move on, let him stay in the post.

That is enough of a reason to show Hoyle the door!

The current #Brexit season is kind of boring. No Speaker #Bercow, inexplicable Tory majority, no plot twists ... all the suspense is gone. It might not get interesting again till Scotland finally "brexits" from the UK.

I feel we are very lucky to have had John #Bercow as speaker in this tumultuous time. I've only really taken interest in Parliament fairly recently and I've never known any other speaker. He's made Parliament eminently watchable and enabled many important debates. I'll miss him.
