In 2019, #DougFord's Conservative govt claimed -- for over a year-- that their #Bill124 salary caps were due to Ontario's "$15 billion deficit".
They lied.
We now know they inflated the real number by $7.6 billion in an attempt to justify their cuts.
(#Ontario’s current deficit is $9.8B which is deeper than Kathleen Wynne’s $7.8B deficit in 2018)

#Bill124 was passed in 2019 to LIMIT salary increases for nurses, educators & #Ontario public sector workers at 1% per year for 3 years. At the time, the province said it was done to help eliminate the budget deficit.
