I caught a hit of Wella Hairspray during my lunch break today in Cov town centre! Immediately put a load of songs from the 80's in my head, back in the days of relentless crimping and back-combing, wish I still had the photos...

I turned 15 in 1985 and this was everything. Still love it! She Sells Sanctuary. Rain. Awesome guitar sound!

#Love, publicado el 18 de octubre de 1985, es el canto del cisne de la fugaz pero valiosa etapa gótica de #TheCult. Una pequeña joya inmersa en la atmósfera sonora sostenida en las exploraciones de la guitarra de #BillyDuffy y asistida vocalmente por el reconocible y particular registro de #IanAstbury. Un trabajo que ha quedado un poco a contramano por el recorrido posterior de la banda más cercano al hard rock pero que en su momento fue la presentación en sociedad de la banda más allá de contar con un trabajo anterior.
