Working on a #podcast viewer for #blogcat. Not yet ready to ship but getting there.
Added some really cool features to #blogcat today.
You can customise how the app opens YouTube links. It can open them in YouTube, or a simpler page without comments or even a custom front-end of your own choice.
When something important happen and you want to share it with people who follow you on different platforms, crossposting makes the experience much more pleasant.
#BlogCat is first and foremost a feed reader, but I been using its posting features more and more.
The Web Should Be A Conversation:
https://andregarzia.com/2025/03/the-web-should-be-a-conversation.html
A blog post about the #enshitfication of the #Web and how to get out of it.
In it I talk about #blogging and why we should go back to weblogs if we care about the Web.
There is also a plug for my own new tool, #BlogCat which is an add-on to make blogging a first-class citizen on #Firefox
If you like what I wrote there, maybe boost plz.
Been working on my own feed reader called #BlogCat.
It is a #WebExtension that adds lots of blogging related features to #Firefox. I spoke about it in a previous post.
Today, I implemented posting to #Mastodon from it. The #Web is a conversation, your blogging tools should allow you to participate on the blogosphere and not only consume it.
Next steps: Bluesky and Micropub.
