A few weeks ago we noticed a burning plastic smell that we couldn't isolate. Yesterday we realized that bilge pump #1 wasn't working (we have redundant bilge pumps). Today we started tracing wires and found part of the problem. I thought the whole point of fuses was to prevent fires! #boatyard

A classic glass fuse and part of the plastic fuse box cover. The corner of the cover is melted and the fuse is badly discolored.

Just getting ready for some red boiler suit action. Or have they been proscribed too already?

But a room* with a view, just need a taller 'captain's chair' out of a skip somewhere to take fullest advantage. Having started the day waiting for the sunrise it seems only appropriate to end it with the sun setting behind other trees.

Bagsy this berth when we launch (which is still some time off). View from the rowing dinghy mooring pontoon to the right with a fishing boat tied up alongside, the saltmarsh to the left at high water.

The arid brownfield - to put it mildly - back garden is coming along nicely all on its own. Looking forward to seeing any of the teasels that make it through untrampled.

Dreamcatcher number one in the yard, recently sold through the brokerage here, has a quite unique interior. Ketch rigged deep bilge Keeler. Very interesting yacht if you like twin keels.

Dreamcatcher number two, sloop rigged fin keel Moody 35, serious money.

Wondering who Crum might've been, who should've lived forever and fucked the pigs, according to the graffiti at the top of the wall of the building to the left. High water neapish at the millhead from the rowing dinghy.

Is that a whole bank of self-seeded oil seed rape next to the toilet block on the edge of the boatyard?
