Found an even bigger #BookOff by Jiyūgaoka station and picked up Frozen and Nemo #DVD for 500 yen each (plus tax). That’s the kind of prices I was expecting but seems only where they have a supply glut.

Partial success:

Found a good sized #BookOff branch and picked up Rapunzel, Frozen 2, Peter Pan 1&2, Beauty and the Beast (all animated versions on DVD). Will try any further branches we pass for Frozen and Moanna, but that'll do.

Oh, and indicative prices 1500 to 3000 yen each.

The bad news is the DVD player at our accomodation doesn't seem to work - none of them played.

One of my goals this trip to #Japan is buy assorted #Disney #DVD films in Japanese, since they're exactly the kind of thing small children will watch again and again, so useful for #bilingual upbringing. Also some of them have excellent dubs and songs (like #Frozen).

UK shops like CEX are filled with 2nd hand games, bluerays, and DVDs - the later for a few GBP each, I was expecting something similar here. It looked like #BookOff was the closest equivalent, but the branch I tried today was tiny!

今回は #相撲を観に #東京へ行ったので、書店に行く機会がありませんでしたが、リサイクルショップも充実してました。
