Zupełnie zapomniałem ,że rozpocząłem cykl Noise rockowy 😁 Następny zespół jest raczej mało rozpoznawalny u nas ale zdecydowanie wart uwagi. W odmętach Wisconsin narodzil się Killdozer. Głównie byli związani że słynną w noiseowym światku wytwórnią Touch and Go a producentem wielu ich dzieł był utalentowany Butch Vig (korzystali niego potem m.in Nirvana i Smashing Pumpkins ). Jeden album z kolei produkował sam Steve Albini.
Brzmienie Killdozera jest powolne, surowe, chropowate i ciężkie. Rytm nadaje prymitywna perkusja. Ciekawym dodatkiem do tej mieszanki są okazjonalne Barytonowy Saxhorn, Akordeon, Trąbka i pogwizydywania. Za wokal odpowiada Michael Gerald a jego styl jest celowo przerysowany, teatralny i "kaznodziejski" ( Czym przypomina mi trochę zespół The Jesus Lizard ). Teksty są ironiczne, groteskowe i przepełnione absurdem. Szczególnie wart uwagi jest album Twelve Point Buck.
Powszechnie uważa się ,że podłożyli fundamenty pod Grunge.

Garbage - Bleed Like Me
The band almost bled out during the recording of this album. I’m glad they didn’t - yes, Garbage is slick, but don’t hold the fact that they know what they’re doing against them. They’re not phoning it in.
Dave Grohl, being a positive catalyst, came in to drum on Bad Boyfriend, and they decided to work it out.
Given that was 19 years ago, I guess they were able to make peace.

Butch Vig produced at least half a dozen iconic 1990s albums I've loved for years;
* Nevermind by Nirvana
* Gish, and Siamese Dream, by The Smashing Pumpkins
* Bricks are Heavy by L7
* Dirty, and Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star, by Sonic Youth
He was also one of the producers who collaborated to create Garbage, whose albums held up pretty well on recent listenings.

Been fangirling again. Got to see my favoritest band ever, Garbage, and got to enjoy the shows with some of my favorite people.
After a certain number of shows, perhaps in the range of the 20s or so, these shows became as much if not more about the friends I’ve made along the way than the music. I’m ending this tour at 88 lifetime Garbage shows. COVID has made 100 a very elusive goal. So close, yet so far.
